Alex Opanasets

I am an Economist in the Labor Force Statistics Branch at the U.S. Census Bureau.

My research interests are in gender and labor economics. I design and run experiments to study job search behavior, the design of fair and efficient hiring practices, and the measurement of the U.S. labor market through household surveys. 

I received my Ph.D. in Economics from Boston College in 2024 and my B.A. in Economics (with Honors) from NYU Shanghai in 2017.
